An old and lovely Yoruba Arugba Shango altar figure. Mother holding a cup over the head with a child on her back. Both mother and child have very expressive faces. From the Igbomina area and the Ajasse group. The carving is quite simple but manage to build a great and interesting sculpture from all sides.
Provenance: From a Swedish collection in Skåne.
