An excellent and rare, 19th to early 20th Century, “ Nobarra” stool/throne from the Mangbetu people, Uele region in D. R Congo. Very fine patina. Seat and base with old repairs.

Provenance: Collection Arthur Alfred Biwer, 1936-2021, Luxembourg. Biwer worked for oil companies in Congo during the 1960-1970´s.
