A Songye sculpture fragment.

Provenance: Peter von Busch 1935-2016, museum curator/director in the Marine Museum in Karlskrona 1960´s - 1996 and some years expert on the Swedish Antiques Roadshow. Began in the 50´s to study African culture and collect African art.  He bought this Songye fragment from Hans Himmelheber (1908-2003) in Germany in the early 1960´s.
