Mother of pearl dyed with red pigment, cowries, seeds, flying dog jaw, woven fibre band. Diameter 25 cm,(10 in.)

Kina shells pectorals was used as currency for trade and payment and ceremonial as ornament affixed to a pillow og grass.

Provenance: Peter von Möller, 1809-1883, Skottorps castle. Member of the Royal Swedish academy of science.
