Kalle Hedberg
Kalle Hedberg (1894-1959), Artist, Sweden
Studied in Paris 1919-1921 and Florens 1921-1923, lived and worked in Copenhagen 1923-1935. He had his debut exhibition in Copenhagen 1924. He returned to Sweden 1935. The early works was influed by cubism and the German art movement " die neue sachlichkeit".
This painting was made in Copenhagen during the 1920´s and was a gift from the artist to Minna Gradert´s parents, that during a period were his landlord in Copenhagen.
Provenance: Minna Gradert, Copenhagen, Denmark and a letter from a relative to her that confirms the story.
